Calle Loíza Getaway is a pair of restored Art Deco accommodations on a quiet cross-street of Santurce’s most loved avenue. We kept what mattered: the original patterned cement floors, the high ceilings, the proportions. Then we added what a slow week needs: a plunge pool with hydro jets, walnut slat walls, and a kitchen you will actually want to cook in.
Getaway I opens straight onto the pool courtyard. Getaway II sits a few steps up the iron stair with its own lounge. Book one for a couple or both for a family, and use this concierge for everything in between.
The accommodations
The pool house
Original patterned cement floors run from the entry through the living spaces, and the courtyard opens onto a plunge pool with hydro jets and a cascading wall feature. Walnut slat walls, rattan pendants, and cool white linens keep everything calm. Seven bedrooms make it the choice for big groups.
The garden suites
A quieter, layered home: green terrazzo floors, walnut slat headboard walls, and stone-tiled showers with brass fittings. Four bedrooms share a lounge and kitchenette, with the plunge pool a few steps down the patterned iron stair.
Signature details
Hand-poured cement tiles, restored rather than replaced. Each room keeps its own pattern; the kitchen’s black-and-white lattice is the one guests ask about first.
Deep enough to float, small enough to stay cool. Press the button for twenty minutes of jets; the cascading wall feature runs on the same timer.
